May 11, 2020. Overall Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a great game. It’s a case of if it’s not broke, don’t fix it, but it’s been improved on with some beautiful graphics and refining of basic gameplay. TaleWorlds continues to polish it with patches and listen to their community about it.

The Verdict. It’s a shame that Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord lets you auto-resolve its glorious action/real-time strategy combat but forces you to endure dozens of hours of laborious and repetitive activities on its dry, flavorless overworld map.
No release date in the article for anyone curious. Warband was a fantastic game, if too shallow without mods (so consoles had a much worse experience than PC). Hopefully Bannerlord comes with a modding platform. I'm sure mods added a ton of content, but I wouldn't call the vanilla game shallow by any definition.
